JobSight Pools

FAQ

Questions, answered straight.

How JobSight works for pools, what happens at the visit, how the quotes come together, and what you’re committing to (spoiler: nothing).

The basics

Is JobSight a pool builder?

No. JobSight works for you, the homeowner. We visit your yard, measure it, design and scope your pool with you, and then get three vetted pool builders to quote that exact plan. The builders build it; we make sure you’re comparing like with like.

Why not just call three builders myself?

You can — but each one measures differently, suggests a different pool and prices it their own way. That usually means three separate visits and three quotes you can’t really compare. With JobSight there’s one visit, one approved plan, and three quotes broken into the same five lines.

Where do you work?

We’re currently serving homeowners across the Charlotte region.

The site visit

Do I need to be home?

No. We just need access to the yard. If you’d like to be there, you’re welcome to walk the space with us.

How long does the visit take?

About 30 minutes on site.

Why do you use a drone?

Before the overhead photo, our specialist lays colored measuring straps across the yard. That one calibrated photo lets us work out lot size, usable yard area and the dimensions in your guide without a separate survey — and it shows every builder the same access routes, trees and setbacks.

What should I have ready?

Nothing is required. If you have them, photos of pools you like, your HOA guidelines and a property survey or plat are all helpful. Let us know about gate codes or pets when you book.

Design & quotes

Can I change the design?

Yes. Your design and written scope come to you first, and you can ask for revisions until they’re right. Nothing goes out for pricing until you approve it.

Who are the builders?

Vetted pool builders in the Charlotte area. We match builders to your project for fit — experience, portfolio and specialty — as well as price, so your three quotes aren’t automatically the three cheapest. Every quote is presented neutrally, side by side.

What types of pools can you plan?

In-ground pools and spas. Builders quote their own shell system against your scope — gunite or shotcrete, vinyl liner, or fiberglass — so you can compare approaches as well as prices.

How do I compare the three quotes?

Each quote is broken into the same five lines — site, shell, systems, deck and finish — and a summary page lines up price, schedule, quote validity, deposit and warranty. See it in the sample guide.

Can I talk to the builders before I choose?

Yes. Contractor interviews are included, so you can ask your questions directly before you commit. You can upgrade any interview to an in-person walkthrough for $49.

What about permits and HOA rules?

Your guide lists the permits and codes that apply to your address, so every builder prices them in. If you want us to research local ordinances and HOA rules in more depth before you commit, add the Permit & Ordinance Check.

Cost & commitment

What does it cost?

$399 for the visit, your design and guide, and three quotes. When you hire a builder through JobSight, the full $399 is credited toward your project deposit. See pricing and add-ons.

Am I committing to build?

No. There’s no obligation at any stage. Take up to seven days to decide; if you don’t build, the guide and all three quotes are yours to keep.

I already have a builder in mind. Can JobSight still help?

Yes — your guide works with any builder. JobSight also offers a Bring Your Own Contractor option. Learn about DIY & BYOC.

What happens after I choose a builder?

You sign once, your $399 is credited toward the deposit, and your project moves into the JobSight app — timeline, milestones, documents and messages with your builder in one place, all the way to the first swim.

Still wondering? Start with the visit.

30 minutes on site. Three real quotes. No pressure.
